William Akerman
Founder and CEO
Will is a renowned
Business speaker, regularly addressing international banking audiences.
In 2004 he lectured at the London School of Economics, The Royal Marine
Institute in London, the London Stock Exchange and was a Key speaker at
the World money show in Florida. A keen writer, Will also has regular
columns in several financial journals including Shares Magazine and 'The
Business' Newspaper.
A self styled business guru, with over 20 years experience, Will is passionate
about the necessity for effective communication in the business environment.
His interest in the psychology of human behaviour led to the development
of Speakeasy4business, an innovative personal development service aimed
at helping business people at all levels achieve their full potential
through learning a mixture of practical and sensory skills.
Sue Parks, Co-ordinator and Tutor
A trained journalist with a background in PR and marketing, Sue has a
wealth of experience in the business marketplace and has written on just
about every industrial and commercial subject for the national and trade
press. Throughout her PR and marketing career Sue has worked with a great
many businesses developing their internal and external communication practices
helping them to translate their visions into reality.
Katie Beard, Tutor
A professional actor, Katie trained at The National Youth Theatre And
The Guildford School of Acting. In addition, she is a qualified drama
teacher, a trained dancer and specialist in vocal development and body
language. Katie is completely in tune with the needs of her audience and
has trained all levels of people in public speaking, presenting, and vocal
technique. Katie is just as at home working with absolute beginners, helping
them to overcome their fear, take control of their nerves and build up
their confidence as she is working with highly experienced presenters
to fine tune their delivery techniques.
Alexandra Gibson, Tutor
A professional Actor, Tutor
and Director of the Surrey Youth Theatre, Alex combines a successful performing
arts career with specialist teaching, helping people of all ages and experience
improve their communication skills. Alex specialises in voice and body
language training and her lively, friendly approach is guaranteed to get
the best out of even the most nervous participant.
Ben Gallacher,
Tutor
Ben trained at The Guildford School of Acting and gained a First Class
Honours Degree. Since leaving drama school he has featured in various
productions including theatre, radio and television. Ben is an experienced
voice over actor and has recorded several educational programmes. He is
passionate about public speaking, presentation and communication skills
and his enthusiasm and energy are infectious.
Lauren Harrison, Tutor
Lauren trained at The Guildford School of Acting. Since leaving theatre
school, she has enjoyed performing in a range of productions and brings
a wealth of performing arts experience to her workshops and individual
training sessions.
